Rose Bridge Farm Sanctuary offers an engaging farm animal husbandry program where children will have hands-on opportunities to learn about raising baby farm animals and cultivating plants. They will explore a variety of farm animals and their daily care routines, developing responsibility and empathy toward animals and nature. Through interactive experiences and educational activities, kids will discover the joys of farm life and the importance of locally sourced, healthy food. The program also includes a fun craft session. Additionally, children will learn how to grow and harvest flowers and herbs.
Program Information:
- Age group: 7 to 10 years old (12 children max). If you have older children interested, we can customize the program for them.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 12 PM. Daily sign-up is available.
- Location: Rose Bridge Farm and Sanctuary, a working farm with a barn, cottage, garden, and outdoor space for activities and recreation.
- Cost: $50 per day.
- Counselors: Our farmers will lead and supervise the activities.
Activities include:
- Crafts: Children will create farm-inspired crafts such as tie-dyed shirts with natural dyes, decorated horseshoes, herb and flower pots, and fresh flower bouquets to take home.
- Animal Care: Kids will learn about animal husbandry by feeding and grooming farm animals.
- Gardening: Children will plant seeds and care for crops, gaining a hands-on understanding of growing food and flowers from seed to harvest.
