Rose Bridge Farm is a sanctuary and working farm dedicated to rescuing, nurturing, and rehoming farm animals in need. Nestled on historic land once owned by William Penn, our property dates back to the 1700s and offers a unique blend of history, compassion, and community.
Since 2013, we've been committed to providing a safe, loving environment for animals while creating opportunities for people to learn, connect, and give back. As of July 2023, we proudly celebrate over a decade of rescue, rehabilitation, and joyful moments shared between people and animals.
At Rose Bridge Farm, we open our gates—and our hearts—to animals who need a second chance. Our sanctuary is home to a wide variety of animals, including goats, sheep, horses, camels, bunnies, cats, calves, and multiple breeds of chickens and roosters. Many of them come from dairy farms, meat farms, or livestock auctions—often as vulnerable infants in need of immediate care.
We bottle-feed and nurture each animal, ensuring they are healthy, socialized, and ready to thrive in safe, permanent homes. We never breed our goats, and none of our animals are adopted out for meat production.
All adoptions go through a formal contract process to ensure lifelong care and protection. We place animals only with larger sanctuaries or vetted family farms. If you're considering adoption, we invite you to reach out via email. Please also verify your township’s regulations for livestock ownership and ensure your property meets the appropriate land and fencing requirements. To support emotional wellbeing, we strongly encourage adopting at least two animals or a bonded group.
Our sanctuary isn’t just a place for animals—it’s a place for people to learn, grow, and reconnect with nature. We offer a range of immersive experiences designed to bring joy and build awareness:
We believe that interacting with animals in a kind and respectful environment fosters empathy, mindfulness, and lasting memories.
Volunteers are the heartbeat of Rose Bridge Farm. We are incredibly grateful for the individuals who give their time, energy, and love to help care for our animals and support our events.
Our volunteers help with a wide range of tasks—refilling water buckets, distributing hay, cleaning stalls and barns, socializing with cats in our cat room, and helping to facilitate goat yoga and cuddle sessions.
Whether you’re an animal lover, student, retiree, or simply someone who wants to make a difference, we welcome you to become a part of our team. Volunteering with us is more than a chore list—it’s a meaningful way to connect with animals and be part of something bigger. To apply, visit the volunteer section on our website.
Rose Bridge is unique in that it serves both as a lifelong home for certain animals and a transitional rescue space for others. We specialize in saving animals from the dairy industry and other high-risk situations where they face slaughter or neglect once no longer deemed “productive.”
Here, they find refuge. These animals are embraced, cared for, and loved. Some remain with us for the rest of their lives, while others are adopted into caring homes where their wellbeing is prioritized.
Our dual role as a farm and sanctuary reflects our commitment to ethical, sustainable care and our belief that every animal deserves a chance to live a peaceful, meaningful life.
We’re proud to partner with two incredible neighboring businesses closely connected to the heart of our mission.
🌱 Organic Heirlooms is a nursery located right next door, known for growing vibrant, organic vegetables in a variety of unique shapes, sizes, and colors. Their mission is to make fresh, nutrient-rich produce more accessible and to inspire hands-on learning through gardening. We collaborate with Organic Heirlooms on seasonal workshops for both children and adults.
🧘 Horse & Goat Yoga, also based nearby, offers joyful animal-assisted wellness classes. These playful yoga sessions take place on the neighboring farm and often include our goats—and occasionally other animal guests! We’re proud to work with Horse & Goat Yoga to bring unique, heartwarming experiences to the community.
While each business operates independently, our partnerships reflect a shared commitment to education, connection, and compassionate care.
